Home Mission Team

Nigel Hoad is married to Lucy, and has three grown up children, and three grandchildren. Converted in his late teens Nigel is involved in youth ministry and church leadership in Bromley, Kent. With over thirty years experience in the construction industry as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, he retired in order to take up an opportunity to serve God full time with the Association in 2004. Sadly he supports West Ham – which he says teaches humility!

Adam Laughton is the Church Planter / Team Leader for the Gateway Church Planting Project. He lives in Gravesend with his wife Julia & their family. Adam was converted while at University and then spent 5 years as a Teacher, before training for the Christian Ministry. He was the Pastor of “Grace Baptist Church, Southport,” for 11 years before moving to Gravesend in the summer of 2011. He supports Everton, but no-one is perfect!

Maria Amoako-Britten is married to Jon Britten, and is a member of Highbury Baptist Church, north London. Since March 2010 she has worked part-time for the Association, helping churches mainly north of the Thames in youth and ladies ministries. Maria was a missionary in Spain for 13 years for Grace Baptist Mission prior to joining the Association.
